These two new high-performance foam products feature a spray head with micro fog technology that is said to optimize their spray pattern. While the “Universal” fire extinguishing spray is intended for use in workshops, kitchens, offices and on construction sites, the “Vehicle” version has been developed specifically to be kept close at hand in automobiles, recreational vehicles and boats. The “Universal” spray is designed to extinguish fires involving solids, fats, greases and liquids and has a maintenance-free shelf life of four years. The “Vehicle” version, meanwhile, has a maintenance-free shelf life of up to three years, boasts an enhanced functional range from -15 to +60 degrees Celsius and delivers a certified extinguishing performance that falls into categories 5A and 21B to DIN EN 3.
Both products are now available to buy and ready to use in 600 or 625 ml aerosol cans – the specific volume needed to provide a guaranteed minimum spraying time of 20 seconds. The minimum spraying width of three meters ensures users can also fight fires from a safe distance. The high-performance extinguishing foam is said to snuff out smaller fires quickly and dependably, even including fires caused by electrical equipment and devices with voltages up to 1000 volts. As a result, the product offers a useful safety solution for electric vehicles – a sector that is set to become increasingly important.
